Need For Speed Carbon
Nov 21, 2006 Need for Speed: Carbon lives up to its hype and provides a unique experience different from all the other NFS games. Allowing you to hire drivers to assist you in different ways during your race, and boss races are set on dangerous mountain roads where your race could end with one simple mistake sending you flying off the edge. What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed Carbon immerses you in the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing. You and your crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals' neighborhoods one block at a time.
Need for Speed Carbon features three car classes, with each car class exhibiting unique performance and handling. Customisation (AutoSculpt) also differs between car classes. The game categorises cars into three car classes: Muscle, Tuner and Exotic. Each category is further divided into 3 tiers. In theory, each tier contains better cars than the tier that precedes it. Tiers also play a role in dictating when and in which order cars are unlocked in the game. Tiers also dictate your opponents. If you drive a Tier 3 car, chances are you'll only face other Tier 3 cars in a race.
Note: It's still very very confusing as to how some of the bonus cars are supposed to be unlocked. If you have any information, please add it to the wiki page for the specific car.
